One free one-hour private lesson with Coach Tobin, given away once a month. Free to enter. Below is every rule that applies — there is no other set.
1.No purchase, ever
Entry is free. You do not have to buy anything, book anything or become a member, and paying for a lesson does not improve your chances by any amount. Anyone who is told otherwise has been told wrong.
2.Who can enter
Anyone aged 18 or over who can get themselves to a court in the Irvine and Tustin area, where the lesson takes place. If the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian claims and attends the lesson. Coach Tobin, his household, and anyone who coaches for Family Pickleball cannot enter.
3.One entry per person, per month
A second submission in the same month does not add a second chance — the site will tell you that you are already entered. Entries do not roll over: to be in next month’s draw, enter again next month.
4.When each draw closes and happens
Entries for a given month close at 11:59pm Pacific on the last day of that month. The winner is picked at random from that month’s entries, normally within the first three days of the following month.
5.How the winner is picked
At random, from every valid entry for that month, with each entry weighted the same. No judging, no discretion, no tie-break — the only thing that decides it is the draw.
6.How you find out
Coach Tobin contacts the winner directly on the phone number and email given on the entry form, within three days of the draw. If the winner cannot be reached within seven days, the prize passes to another entry drawn the same way. Winners are never announced publicly without asking them first.
7.The prize
One private lesson of one hour with Coach Tobin, for one player, arranged at a time that suits you both. Approximate retail value $85. It cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or merchandise, and it cannot be transferred to somebody else. Court fees, if any apply at the venue, are covered. Getting there is on you.
8.Claiming it
The lesson must be booked and taken within 90 days of the winner being contacted. Weather or injury will extend that — just say so. Simply not answering will not.
9.What happens to your details
Your name, email and phone number are stored so that the draw can be run and the winner reached. Ticking the email box means Coach Tobin may also email you about coaching, classes and future draws; that permission is recorded separately and you can withdraw it at any time from any email he sends. Texts are a separate tick and are genuinely optional — leaving it unticked does not affect your entry, and you will not be sent marketing texts. Your details are never sold, and never passed to anybody outside Family Pickleball.
10.Changes and cancellation
If a month’s draw has to be cancelled, everyone entered that month is told by email and their entry carries into the next one. Any change to these rules applies from the month after it is published — never retrospectively to a draw already open.
